I was born and raised in Williamsport, PA (Home of Little League Baseball). I moved to California in the 80’s where I met my husband of 13 years. In July of 2007 I found a lump under my breast that turned out to be breast cancer and had a lumpectomy. Just four months later, cancer was discovered again resulting in my choosing to have a double mastectomy. I have lost many members of my family to cancer. My Father died of lung and brain cancer and in 2008 after a lengthy battle, my baby brother died of renal cancer also known as kidney cancer. I am also a survivor of domestic violence. I want to share stories of my life to help and inspire others. Another important fact is that I love martinis, ice cream (chocolate of course), and peanut butter. Please don’t tell anybody, but sometimes that is my dinner.
The inspiration for this website comes from the inspirational music CD that my husband Kirk Bailer and I created together called Let Life Happen.

picture or not, the thought of helping by trial and experience is lovely. when i commented on on your profile pic. i didn’t tell you what it said to me… there are two trees in the clearing, but what lies ahead is visible through a fog. the most important fact is… you are not alone, and with companionship and support, the future is in sight. as long as you have a support system, anything is within reach.
thanks,
shelly
I cannot thank you enough for sharing your thoughts on what that picture represented to you. That is absolutely fabulous and I will hold those thoughts very close to my heart. You made my day!
Hello there…
))
I wish you healing moments through this website
PS: it would speak more directly to people…if you include
photos of yourself in this site…or have a link to another site with your photos

Thank you for your kind wishes. I do understand about posting photos but I must say that I really dislike having my picture taken. My husband even gave me a new camera for my birthday last month in order to push me in that direction. When/if I have a picture of me that I like, it will be posted. In the meantime, I have chosen the pixs that you see on the site as they are so beautiful to me.
